Our Website Design Process

Our design process has 5 steps as outlined below. The first 2 steps set the stage for the look and feel of the website. That is why your input at these steps is critical. However, you can be assured that we will be in communication with you every step of the way. Your input is important throughout the entire design process.

Our design process includes these 5 steps:

  1. Planning
In this initial step we discuss your website needs. Primarily what you want your new website to do for you. Next, we identify who your competition is. We ask many questions along the way such as, If you currently have a website, what do you like about it? What do you not like? Is there something that you would like to have your website do that it is not? At this stage, we need as much feedback as possible to ensure that you end up with a website that you are proud of and that accomplishes your goals.

  2. Site Design
We design your site in a graphics program to mock up what the site will look like when complete. We will provide you with professionally designed custom pages including the home page and subpages. Although the links will not be functioning , you will be able to get a great idea of the look and feel of the site.

  3. Coding
This is the technical stuff. We use the most current Web Standard (W3C®) coding techniques to bring your site to the internet. This ensures that the widest audience will be able to view and use your site. We code in Cascading Style Sheets with tableless layout as this is the cleanest most efficient coding method available.

  4. Testing
We test, test, and test again to ensure that your new website is functional in the widest variety of modern and not so modern browsers available.

  5. Uploading
We upload your finished site to the server and invite you to view it.
